Finding Life, Learning to Live, Living to Serve

We understand that visiting a new church can be daunting! Below you will find answers to some questions you may be wondering about.

What time are your services?

Normally, we gather for services at 8:15 and 10:30 on Sunday mornings. Sunday School happens in between at 9:30. Currently, we only meet online due to COVID-19.

What are your services like?

Our worship services are geared towards equipping and encouraging the Body of Christ as we celebrate our God and Savior. As we respond to what Christ has done for us, we hope those who come to worship will be inspired to go out and live worshipful lives of ministry in the community. Our services include vibrant music and solid Bible-based teaching.

How long are they?

Services usually last about 75 minutes.

What is your style of worship music?

We hope that as you join us for worship, you will be engaged and drawn into a deeper relationship with God. Our music encompasses a broad range of traditional hymns and more recent songs of praise, led by a contemporary band. The goal of our worship music is to draw nearer to God together, to experience His revelation and respond to bring Him glory.

How do people typically dress?

We want you to be comfortable when you worship with us. God isn’t concerned with what you’re wearing, just where your heart is. At our services, you’ll see people wearing jeans and t-shirts, as well as people wearing dresses or suits. However you’re comfortable is fine with us.

What about my kids?

One of the things we are grateful for at Smith Grove is our family atmosphere, and kids are a big part of that! We want to create an atmosphere of worship not only for adults, but for children of all ages. We do have a nursery staffed by caring volunteers for your little ones, as well as Children’s Church during the sermon portion of our 10:30 worship service.
